Next time you feel a stomach ache coming on, try treating it with some weed and spicy food.
Researchers have found that a compound in chili peppers can also produce an anti-inflammatory compound in the stomach similar to chemicals found in marijuana, reports Popular Science.
In a study published by the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, researchers from the UConn Health School of Medicine found that capsaicin — the compound known for giving chili peppers their heat — targets a cannabis receptor in the stomach that releases a compound similar to those found

Oregon lawmakers are moving to shield their legal marijuana users from the federal government.
The House of Representatives on Monday voted in favor of a bipartisan bill to ban legal marijuana shops from storing identifying information, such as driver licenses and passports, for longer than 48 hours, reports the Associated Press.
The state’s legislators have worked on the bill ever since President Donald Trump’s administration hinted at heightened enforcement of federal laws against marijuana users.

After becoming the first country in the world to completely legalize marijuana, Uruguay is now ready to become the first country to sell pot in drug stores.

Uruguay’s head of the National Drug Board Juan Roballo announced on Thursday that pharmacies will soon be authorized to sell cannabis, reports Reuters.
“Cannabis will be dispensed in pharmacies starting in the month of July,” Roballo told a press conference.
The country’s government will regulate the process, which will initially provide pharmacies with 882 pounds, although that amount could increase depending on demand.

Bipartisan lawmakers have introduced legislation that would remove marijuana from the federal list of controlled substances and make the government responsible for regulating the industry.

Oregon Sen. Ron Wyden and Rep.
