A premier counter-culture event held at the Las Vegas Convention Center, the long-running trade show provides head shops, dispensaries, and other 420-retailers their seasonal supply of bongs, oil rigs, assorted paraphernalia, and alternative lifestyle attire. While there’s no weed at the show, recreational marijuana dispensaries in Las Vegas are alive and well. With recreational marijuana now legal in Nevada, this week’s event hosted more than 420 vendors under the convention center’s massive roof. Featuring artisan glassblowers demonstrating their craft, this year’s industry-centric trade show had a little something for everyone. On a personal mission to pick up a few new strains for …

Blunts. You like blunts, I like blunts, Rihanna likes blunts. We all like blunts. Even though I knew the answer was the one I was holding, I couldn’t really make that call until I tried each type that I could get my hands on. Next thing you know, I’m driving all over the city picking up a pack of every single wrap behind every single counter until I had eight or nine different types. Browse Cannabis Rolling Papers The result of my experiment is a completely subjective ranking of blunt …

No, Legalizing Marijuana (Still) Doesn’t Lead to More Kids Smoking Pot

Paul Armentano | July 11, 2017 Yet another study has once again affirmed that the regulation of marijuana for medical or recreational purposes is not associated with increases in problematic cannabis use by young people. Writing in the Journal of Clinical Psychiatry, federal investigators from the US National Institute on Drug Abuse and the Substance Abuse Mental Health Services Administration evaluated marijuana use rates among young people (ages 12 to 17) between the years 2002 and 2014. Researchers reported that the prevalence of past-year cannabis use by youth fell 17 percent during this time period. The prevalence of problematic use by young people fell by 25 percent – with a downward trend starting in 2011. “In the United States, compared …

California’s biggest hash festival returns: Chalice 2017 winners and pics

The punishing July heat didn’t stop festival goers from enjoying the best waxes, resins and shatters currently available in California dispensaries. Judges packs were given out to a select few one week prior to the festival in order to determine the highest quality cannabis products in …

Pennsylvania’s First Medical Marijuana Dispensaries Will Open at the Start of 2018 – News

More than a year after Pennsylvania lawmakers passed legislation to legalize the possession and sale of medical marijuana, licenses have been awarded and prospective dispensaries are beginning to get their affairs in order for a January 2018 rollout. According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, the 52 Pennsylvania storefront dispensaries that were awarded retail licenses last week will not be able to sell pre-rolled joints or discounted ounces. Unlike medical dispensaries in California, Massachusetts, or neighboring New Jersey, patients in the Keystone State will have to choose from a variety of oils, tinctures, lotions, and vaporizer cartridges to fit the state’s law, which bans smokable marijuana. And while some states house medical dispensaries with flashy neon signs and blatant cannabis advertising, Pennsylvania’s pot shops …
