One of Carrey’s memories includes hanging out in the parking lot and smoking weed with the comic legend Richard Pryor.

“We were passing a joint one night, and he said, ‘Careful with that, I don’t remember 40 years of my life,’” Carrey recalled. “I really got close to him for a while. He was so encouraging, such an amazing person.”

Carrey also talked about his drug dealer at the time, who had coined a catchphrase to say to all his comedy clientele.

“Every time you walked up to him and said ‘How you doing man?’ he would go ‘Hollywood, brotha,’” said Carrey.
