How much marijuana has been grown in Washington? Over 150,000 pounds of useable marijuana produced in fiscal year 2017 under Washington’s Legal System. Washington’s legal marijuana market is booming, which is resulting in a lot of cannabis being grown.According to the Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board, there has been 363,268 pounds (lbs) of marijuana harvested in fiscal year (FY) 2017, which began on July 1, 2016 and ends on June 30.

Washington, one of the first states in the nation to launch a fully legal recreational cannabis market, is reportedly searching for a new seed-to-sale provider, reports Marijuana Business Daily.

It seems the state’s current seed-to-sale company, BioTrackTHC, who landed the job back in 2013, has no plans to renew its multi-million dollar contract. Reports show the company is uncomfortable with some aspects of the state’s requirement and no longer wishes to provide its services.

Rhode Island has had one of the more comprehensive medical marijuana programs on the East Coast for more than 10 years. But with eight states legalizing recreational adult cannabis use, and neighboring Massachusetts set to cash in next year, lawmakers in Rhode Island are trying their best to make sure they don’t miss the boat.

The pressure to legalize marijuana worldwide has become so much so that U.S. lawmakers are taking a pot-filled field trip to Europe.
A bipartisan Congressional Delegation that includes New York Congressman Brian Higgins and California Congressman Dana Rohrabacher have scheduled a trip to Europe next week to study their various legal cannabis policies and regulatory systems, reports Marijuana Politics.
The delegation’s multi-country tour will be highlighted by a stop in Germany, where medical marijuana was legalized earlier this year.
