Washington State Seeks New Contractor to Track Commercial Cannabis


Washington, one of the first states in the nation to launch a fully legal recreational cannabis market, is reportedly searching for a new seed-to-sale provider, reports Marijuana Business Daily.

It seems the state’s current seed-to-sale company, BioTrackTHC, who landed the job back in 2013, has no plans to renew its multi-million dollar contract. Reports show the company is uncomfortable with some aspects of the state’s requirement and no longer wishes to provide its services.

U.S. congressmen headed to Europe to discuss legal pot industry

The pressure to legalize marijuana worldwide has become so much so that U.S. lawmakers are taking a pot-filled field trip to Europe.
A bipartisan Congressional Delegation that includes New York Congressman Brian Higgins and California Congressman Dana Rohrabacher have scheduled a trip to Europe next week to study their various legal cannabis policies and regulatory systems, reports Marijuana Politics.
The delegation’s multi-country tour will be highlighted by a stop in Germany, where medical marijuana was legalized earlier this year.

More Cannabis Dispensary Raids Across Canada Today



It has been a very rough week for Marc and Jodie Emery as well as their chain of Cannabis Culture dispensaries across Canada.
First, Canada’s “prince and princess of pot” were arrested at Pearson International Airport in Toronto on Wednesday evening before getting on a plane to attend the 2017 Spannabis Conference in Barcelona. 
This morning, a massive police effort across the country saw raids and arrests at the Emery’s various locations in Toronto, Hamilton, Vancouver, and Ottawa.
