House Introduces Marijuana Legalization Bill Focused on Racial Justice

Washington, D.C. – Today, Representatives Barbara Lee (D-CA-13) and Ro Khanna (D-CA-17) introduced legislation that ends federal marijuana prohibition and which contains a range of provisions to repair communities most devastated by the war on drugs. Lee and Khanna are joined by co-sponsors Steven Cohen (D-TN-9), Bobby Rush (D-IL-1), Earl Blumenauer (D-OR-3), Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX-18), Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY-8), Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC), Danny Davis (D-IL-7), and Jared Polis (D-CO-2).
