State and local politicians will discuss marijuana policy in Texas again this month.  While there has been lots of recent attention given to this topic in Texas, this discussion includes both the City of Dallas as well as the State’s laws on the decriminalization of cannabis.The Dallas City Council will consider ending the Dallas Police Department’s policy to arrest people for possessing small amounts of marijuana when they meet next week.

After decades of building one of Canada’s largest cannabis empires, Jodie Emery and her legendary husband Marc are being forced by law to remove themselves entirely from their company.
Recently, in a massive police enforcement across the country, Cannabis Culture stores were raided and its employees arrested. At the top of the food chain during this questionable move by authorities lay the most famous marijuana activists in the great white north, Marc and Jodie.

Just days after Colorado’s House passed a bill targeting the state’s black market, the DEA and Colorado authorities raided over 20 illicit facilities used to grow and export illegal marijuana.
This bust resulted from months-long investigation and not related to the recent bill, but Colorado’s recent plea to wipe out the state’s black market is off to a successful start.

It has been a very rough week for Marc and Jodie Emery as well as their chain of Cannabis Culture dispensaries across Canada.
First, Canada’s “prince and princess of pot” were arrested at Pearson International Airport in Toronto on Wednesday evening before getting on a plane to attend the 2017 Spannabis Conference in Barcelona. 
This morning, a massive police effort across the country saw raids and arrests at the Emery’s various locations in Toronto, Hamilton, Vancouver, and Ottawa.

Canadian police on Thursday raided nearly a dozen stores selling marijuana in several cities, after arresting a prominent pot activist and his wife.


Search warrants were executed at 11 Cannabis Culture stores in Toronto, Hamilton, Ottawa and Vancouver, according to a statement.
On Wednesday night self-proclaimed "Prince of Pot" Marc Emery and his wife Jodie, who own the stores, were arrested as they waited at the Toronto airport to board a flight to Spain to attend a festival.
The coordinated police operation came as the government reaffirmed its commitment to legalize recreational use of marijuana, but asked for patience.
