Watch: Dr. Oz explains on Fox News that marijuana can help solve opioid crisis

Dr. Mehmet Oz made an appearance on Fox & Friends Tuesday morning to promote his upcoming televised interview with Ivanka Trump, but ended by exposing the “hypocrisy around medical marijuana.”

The television host, better known as Dr. Oz, sat in with the conservative morning talk show to tease the Trump interview set to air this Thursday on the Dr. Oz Show, which reveals that she suffers from postpartum depression.

Co-host Ainsley Earhardt used Trump’s condition as a barometer for the American outrage against President Trump, suggesting that the nation’s anger does not promote good health.

“After a while, won’t our country get sick of the negativity?” Earhardt asked. “When do we get to the point as a country where we say, ‘We can’t do this’?”

Oz agreed with Earhardt before co-host Brian Kilmeade attempted to wrap up the segment by tying in the U.S. opioid epidemic, but instead gave Oz an opportunity to vocally support medical marijuana legalization.
