Cannabis Court Date Against DEA and Jeff Sessions Draws Closer

We have much to be excited about this year, however, 2018 also brings major concerns, including Attorney General Jeff Sessions rescinding many Obama-era cannabis protections. You can read our official statement on Sessions rescinding of the Cole Memo here. The fight is far from over. This Valentine’s day, February 14th, the CCA, ex-pro football player Marvin Washington and 12yr old medical marijuana patient and activist Alexis Bortell among other plaintiffs have a court date with the Attorney General Jeff Sessions and the DEA. We will be giving our oral statements to defeat the government’s motion to dismiss, and we need your support! We need to pack the courtroom, and rally outside of it! We need to show the current local, state and Federal administrations that the unconstitutional prohibition of cannabis needs to end. Now more than ever, we need to work together to stand strong as a community, push back these repressive policies and bring the fight to the courtroom!
