Ann Coulter says marijuana is ‘destroying the country’ by making ‘people retarded’

Americans are collectively dealing with a number of rising problems, but Ann Coulter believes the worst threat comes in the form of legal pot.

The conservative columnist made some highly questionable remarks in opposition to marijuana law reform during a debate at this year’s bipartisan Politicon event held over the weekend.

While debating pro-cannabis advocate Ana Kasparian of the progressive news outlet The Young Turks, Coulter offered her opinion that further U.S. pot legalization is “destroying the country,” and also “makes people retarded.”
