If you’ve been taking trips to Home Depot for those spring cleaning projects, it might be time to start shopping at Lowe’s. In an interview with Fox News this week, Ken Langone, the co-founder of Home Depot, spoke to host Neil Cavuto, where he made some very controversial, and incredibly false, statements about Trump’s new budget plan, which includes a $200 million cut to the country’s Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, or food stamps.

“Hell, people use food stamps to buy marijuana — that’s illegal — or cocaine, or whatever the hell else people use to get high,” Langone said. “How do we make sure that we don’t take a system that is well-intentioned that becomes badly abused?”

Of course, Cavuto offered up no evidence for his claims, and failed to explain how the 44 million Americans that participated in the federal food stamps program spent those government dollars on dope. After all, anyone who has ever been on government assistance knows that getting a hot plate of food with food stamps is damn-near impossible and we’re not aware of any drug dealers that accept EBT.

What Langone didn’t mention, was that 75% of those 44 million…
