Nike to release marijuana-themed Dunk sneakers for 4/20

Marijuana has become so widely accepted that even Nike is celebrating 4/20 this year with a sneaker inspired by cannabis culture.

The Nike SB Dunk Mid “White Widow” was designed by skateboard artist Todd Bratrud as an homage to the popular strain the sneakers are named after. This take on the legendary Dunk model features hairy suede in mint green and off-white tones to resemble the frosted evergreen nugs of its namesake, and finished off with a red Swoosh and branding.

The shoe also features Bratrud’s graphic of a red-eyed spider on the insoles, as well as a stash pocket under the tongue perfect for discreetly transporting fresh nugs on the stoner holiday.

Nike’s White Widow Dunks are the company’s latest tribute to cannabis, alongside other 420-friendly models that includes the Nike SB Dunk High “Skunk” and the Nike SB Dunk High “Cheech & Chong.”

Get your pair of White Widow Dunks at select Nike retailers and Nike.com on Friday, April 20 for the retail price of $100.
