After taking some time to review the case, Judge Alvin K. Hellerstein “Judge Alvin K. Hellerstein has made his decision: the federal government’s motion to dismiss has carried.
Hiller, PC and CCA said that their next steps will be to appeal this decision.
“We knew that this could happen, and that this case could be decided on appeal. We were prepared for any outcome, and we intend to take our appeal. The judge made some favorable factual findings with respect to our record, particularly in terms of cannabis being effective medicine for our clients,” said Lauren Rudick, partner at Hiller, PC.
