Get To Know The Very Rare West Coast Cure x VLONE Collab

The VLONE and West Coast Cure (WCC) collab is so rare that it’s not even available to the public to purchase — yet. Anyone in California who enjoys top-shelf cannabis products recognizes the West Coast Cure crown logo and the standards it represents.

With the legalization of marijuana, brands have been allowed to come out of the shadows and prosper in public. To keep up with the ever-evolving cannabis industry, WCC founder and owner Jerrett Wasserman always makes sure to stay ahead of the game. This time, he turned his personal relationship with VLONE into a business relationship, collaborating with A$AP Bari, the brand’s founder.

Jerrett and Bari met backstage at a Lil Uzi Vert show, and have always supported each other’s business efforts. With huge followings on Instagram, they soon realized the potential in a crossover campaign. Over time, it became apparent how sought-after both brands were. But one thing remained true: a guarantee to the consumer offering rare, top quality products with a strong brand perception.

It made sense to connect on a more formal basis. In Wasserman’s words, the two connected “to test the waters and see what happens.” Speaking on the collab strain, he adds, “We used a special hybrid of original West Coast Cure OG crossed with an original Chemdawg #4.”

The collab is currently only available for friends and family. The exclusive release builds hype because their private network consists of successful and creative individuals that will organically drive the demand. Naturally, when it drops, it should immediately sell out.

“We’re going to do a pop-up release sometime this summer. And then we’re going to release it to a few select stores,” Wasserman said. “Sometime after that, we’ll release it to all stores for a very limited time. We will be definitely making different collectible cans for each drop. The first batch of cans will be the most valuable, the most limited, and the most sought-after.”

The pop-ups will serve as an alternative to the dispensary release. Working with Sour Matt from Backwoods, Wasserman revealed that they are currently brainstorming campaign ideas.

When asked if WCC has ever done collabs in the past, Wasserman answered, “For clothing, but not for cans. That’s why this is monumental. I don’t think everyone realizes it yet, but this will be the first time in history where the rarest clothing brand collaborates with the most important cannabis brand in America.”

I don’t know about you, but I’m sold.
