Seth Rogen joins the legal marijuana business with Canadian-based brand

One of the entertainment industry’s beloved stoners is now launching his own legal cannabis company.

Actor, writer, and producer Seth Rogen has teamed up with his long-time creative partner Evan Goldberg for the announcement of their Canadian-based line of marijuana products called Houseplant, reports CNBC.

“Houseplant is a passion we’ve brought to life through drive and dedication,” Rogen said in a press release. “Every decision we’ve made for the business reflects the years of education, first-hand experience and respect we have for cannabis.”

The two Vancouver natives entered a partnership with the Ontario-based grower Canopy Growth to produce Houseplant products. Their first strain is simply called “Houseplant Sativa” and will be available through regulated retailers in British Columbia beginning in April. Houseplant Hybrid and Houseplant Indica strains, along with soft gels and pre-rolled joints, are also planned to be added to their product line.
