“Smoke shops” or “Head shops,” you can call them what you like, but paraphernalia proprietors in the Las Vegas Valley can now legally sell bongs, oil rigs, and assorted high-end glassware to adults over the age of 21 for the purpose of consuming marijuana.
On Wednesday, the Las Vegas City Council gave their blessing to an ordinance that completes the circle of 420-life. Now, everything you need to enjoy Nevada’s newest recreational activity – unwinding with legal marijuana – is available in the Entertainment Capital of the World.
In order to be legal and compliant within the city limits, Las Vegas smoke shops will need to obtain a business license from the city. Per the paraphernalia ordinance, a violation will be punished by a fine of “not more than $1,000 or by imprisonment for a term of not more than six months, or by any combination of such fine and imprisonment.”
The devices won’t be able to be displayed in areas of the stores visible to people younger than 21 https://t.co/dUnVnRRjCb
