The Weed Blog

Since its inception, TWB has been based in activism and the mobilization and movements for marijuana policy reform happening around the country. It was created for one purpose: to facilitate a constructive conversation about marijuana in America. This includes both medical and recreational marijuana policy, as well as the marijuana industry and culture.

How Parents Can End the Stigma of Recreational Marijuana Use

I am so thrilled to have another guest post from a fellow mom named Jennifer Landis and to hear her thoughts about how parents can end the stigma of recreational marijuana use.  I wholeheartedly believe that parents, and particularly mothers, will be a huge part of not just ending the stigma, but also end federal cannabis prohibition overall.
I agree with her sentiments and fully support and encourage movement forward in this sector of activism for the cannabis movement.

We have been following the legislature in Vermont particularly closely this session as you can see by our articles here and here.

Drug Policy Alliance Founder Retires: Celebrating Ethan Nadelman

On April 26, 2017, the Drug Policy Alliance (DPA), together with some of its strongest supporters, gathered to celebrate the career and resignation of the organization’s Founder and Executive Director, Ethan Nadelman.  Tears were shed by family and friends alike, as DPA staff recounted the manner by which Nadelman, a New York native, championed drug reform over the course of decades, working from a basement office with a handful of volunteers, to a global organization that is over 70 employees strong.

Now what?
Last Tuesday night, the Public Health committee considered public testimony in support of HB 2107 until nearly 2 a.m.

How to Make a Cannabis Maple Candy Recipe

We have done several posts regarding cooking with cannabis, and here is another one about how to make a cannabis maple candy recipe from a guest author. Inside the 2017 High Times SoCal Cannabis Cup

It is 9 a.m. on Saturday, April 22. I had flown into San Diego from Detroit the night before after finally getting my medical marijuana certification in Michigan, on 4/20. I’m here with two friends. We’re the three amigos: the Todd Man, aka Todd Durban, aka T_dOG (cannabis artist-at-large); Master G, my old friend and chronic sage, and Big Ben, a traveling nurse from Philly via Thailand. We stow our bags in the trunk of our jet black Prius and prepare to drive to San Bernardino for the 2017 High Times SoCal Cannabis Cup.
