We are a different kind of Union. Our Union is comprised primarily of independent workers, self employed workers, businesses and business owners.

We DON'T involve ourselves in the internal operation of businesses the way other Unions do such as collective bargaining, setting prevailing wages or engaging in disputes between employees and their employers.

We DO offer most of the same benefits and resources found in other Unions to anyone working in the marijuana/cannabis/hemp industry. Through partnerships wih other businesses and organizations such as MetLife and Transamerica, we can offer goup health coverage and we have created the very first National Cannabis Workers Pension Fund.

We have taken things a few steps further though. The UCW is partnering with Cannabis Career Institute and Cannajobs to develop industrywide reciprocal employment programs for the unemployed and families in need, as well as plans on new and innovative ways to protect the cannabis based business from criminal prosecution and interference with free trade by the government.
